Changing Your "A" Record With Network Solutions

If you registered your domain name through networksolutions.com, follow these steps to make your site live:

1. Go to networksolutions.com and log in with your username and password (click the "manage account" button in the upper right corner of the page).

2. Step 2. After signing into your account, you will be directed to a navigation page. On the left side of the page, you will notice a grey navigation box. Click "nsWebAddress(Domains)", then click "Manage Domain Names".


3. Next you will be directed to a page that lists your domains with network solutions. Click on the one you want to point to your Clover site. If you only have one domain with network solutions, you'll skip straight to step #4.

4. You will be directed to a page that is your Domain Manager. In the middle of the page, next to "Domain Currently Points To:", click "Edit".

If it says "Designated DNS" next to "Domain Currently Points To:", then you will need to change your name server addresses. You can do this right from this page. HOWEVER, this will also change all the other settings for your domain, which means that your email (MX) records will need to be set up again. You may want to stop and read our help article about name servers.


5. Next you will be directed to a page that gives options about your DNS. Under "Advanced DNS", click "Manage Advanced DNS Records".

6. Now you'll be on a page of DNS records. In the first table, under Under "IP Address (A Records)" click "Add/Edit".


7. On this page, you will change the "Numeric IP" for "www", "@(None)", and "*(All Others)". For all three fields, enter your site's IP address (it's located on the bottom of the Site Preferences page in your Greenhouse Dashboard). Click "OK".


7. Your done! Your site should be live within a couple hours. Go celebrate!
